The Journey of Life of Gatsby, Nick, and Buchanan’s Family in The Great Gatsby
1.      The Theory of Plot
In the stories, the author commonly adding many unsure that advocate it, such as plot, theme, and setting. All of them have the different function, but have a same direction to understanding all of the stories for the readers.
Plot is a way/chronological from the stories, beginning from the first stories until the end. According to Stanton (1965:14) the plot is story that contains the sequences of events, but each incident is only connected in cause and effect, an event which caused or led to the occurrence of other events. A incident of cause effect can be showed from the action or oral. Plot have a direction to understanding the stories well.

Plot has many stage in the stories. Gustav Freytag’s said that it has five parts, such as exposition or beginning, rising action or beginning the conflict, climax or the rise of conflict, falling action or the descrease the conflict, and resolution or the ending of the stories.
a.       Exposition
The first part of a plot is the exposition. Every story must have a
beginning. The start, or exposition, is where the characters and setting are
established. commonly, the story have imagine about the setting and introduce the character
b.      Rising Action
Rising action is an early indication or early causes about the problem that will be face on this story. Start from the mistake in action or something like that.

c.       Climax
The Phase is about the main of the rising  problems, beginning from the fighting, the murdering, or anything else that can be this problem rising.
d.      Falling Action
This phase that conflict has been decreased. Commonly, the characters have controlled the problem.
e.       Resolution
This is the last phase in the story. The characters has been finished or let the problem lose without the solution to finish it.

2.      The Analysis of Plot in The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby is one of a good novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It is the well-known book from fitzgerald in 19th century. This novel has ever filmed on 2003 with the same title. The character of the story is Nick Carraway, Jay Gatsby, Daisy Buchanan, Tom Buchanan, Jordan Baker, George Wilson, Myrtle Wilson, and so on.
This beginning of the story is from the narrator, Nick Carraway who introduced himself, meet with Tom, daisy, and Gatsby, and etc. the chronological of the story will be explain in below.
a.       Exposition
This phase explained about the beginning of the story. From Nick Carraway’s story such as his family as a honorable family, then he moved away to East in 1922. But, it was not long time, he moved again into the small Island , far from North America. 

Then, He came to Tom Buchanan’s house that placed in across Nick’s Island. Firstly, He only just came for meet his cousin, Daisy Buchanan, Tom’s Wife and Tom too, because he is his senior. In This Story, we can imagine how big, large, and luxury of Tom’s house.
Then, he meet with unknown woman beside Daisy, it’s Jordan Baker. After Nick have done with his visiting in Tom’s house. He met slightly with Gatsby.
The Second chapter, the story began with Nick followed Tom to meet someone in another city. The City has reverse condition in his city, the slavery or the worker that work hard. Then, after that, They met with George Wilson and Myrtle. He Told about his old car that want to buy by Tom and invited Nick to the party.

b.      Rising action
This Phase has beginning from Nick that invited from Gatsby. He was be shocked and came to the party. After he was arrived, he looked for Gatsby but he couldn’t find him. then, he met with Jordan and finally he found Gatsby that never he know before. His first assumption is Gatsby is a fat man, but out of expectation, he is still young and his smile is charming.
Then, Nick was be anxious with the conversation between Gatsby and Jordan. Jordan had talked with Nick that he ask to invite Daisy in Nick’s house.
 He agreed. The next day, Gatsby and daisy met up in his house. Gatsby looked nervous and talked that Daisy and He ever met in somewhere place, 5 years ago. And after that he and Daisy met. They have an affair relationship. They love each other like they past memories.
c.       Climax
This climax is from Tom Buchanan inivited Gatsby and Nick to Tom’s house for lunch together. Then, Tom met again with Gatsby (They had ever met in Wolfshire’s place). Before that, Tom has acted as commonly but after Daisy talked that Gatsby and her ever met and made a special relationship, he got mad on him.
Gatsby got mad on him too, and talked that Daisy doesn’t love you. But it’s just his assumption, not a real fact. Nick,Jordan,and Daisy as the main object looked pale and shocked. Then, Tom said that Gatsby has smuggle in Wine (The wine was not be permit in America) and put in behind his dispensaries.
After that, Tom walked around with them, but it was not a good solution, They were debate again and drive out Tom’s car. Then, Daisy and Gatsby went out with his car. In the middle of their way to go home, they banged  Myrtle’s body up.
d.      Falling Action
Finally, Gatsby told about his life with his friend, Dan Cody. But he changed his discussion’s material with Daisy in his past. About his different status with her and he leaved her for did the war.
George Wilson as Myrtle’s husband was so disappointed with someone who banged Myrtle up. He thought hard how he could found him. and after that, he have a solution that he searched it. first, he came to Buchanan’s house while he hold the gun. After he arrived, he want to kill him but Tom said that Gatsby killed his wife. After he knew it, he went to Gatsby’s house.
He looked at him when Gatsby was swam in his pool, but after the phone has rang, he wanted to up from the pool, he shot him and Gatsby were sink in his swimming pool. While he shot him, Nick has heard that and shocked after a while.
e.       Resolution
After Gatsby died, this story was not make clear the situation after the incident. And then Tom and Daisy Buchanan moved from that place into a new place.
